Our Name

The name “Word of Faith” is based on a passage from the book of Romans, chapter 10 and verse 8 which reads:  The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach.  In the pursuing verses, the Apostle Paul explains that faith comes from hearing the word of God and that faith is necessary to obtain salvation and finally he states that in order for people to hear the word of God and believe, preachers must be sent.
